The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Washington Nationals 1-0 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Thursday. Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz hit a solo home run in the first inning. The Pirates stand at 8-12; the Nationals are 7-12.
